SOS Children’s Villages International pledges that both responsibility and due diligence are practiced carefully in the utilization of donations they receive.

Dr. Wilfried Vyslozil, Managing Director of Hermann-Gmeiner-Fonds Deutschland e.V., SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit (Hermann Gmeiner Fund Germany, SOS Children’s Villages International), was appointed by the executive committee. He is employed in this position full-time, runs the day-to-day business operations of the association and is responsible for ensuring that business activities are conducted in an orderly and economical manner in line with the interests and purpose of the association.

The executive committee supports and controls management. The seven members of the executive committee examine the reporting supplied by management at least four times a year. In addition, the executive committee is regularly informed by means of a differential reporting system concerning current business affairs.

Once a year, the association compiles an annual statement, thereby voluntarily subjecting itself to the strict guidelines of German trade law. The annual statement with its statement of income and balance sheet is published in the performance report.

The annual statement is audited by an independent auditing company. SOS Children’s Villages International regularly receives an attestation of full compliance.

Furthermore, SOS Children’s Villages International is subject to monitoring by the DZI (German Central Institute for Social Issues) and holds the DZI Seal of Approval.
