Matching Funds 

The principle of matching funds may be simple, but very effective.  You promise your customers, employees or suppliers to match or double their donation to SOS Children’s Villages with your own funds.

This pledge is a special kind of incentive.  This way, donors from your environment contribute to rendering a SOS project possible.  Furthermore, it’s an encouragement for donors to know that others are also doing something, and that their donation will elicit another, additional donation, so that their contribution is actually worth a great deal more.

Some matching funds programs are based on every donation by staff members being doubled.  Other matching funds programs again additionally encourage employees’ social commitment by having employees join forces in teams and set up their own fundraising actions, for example footraces or sporting competitions in support of good causes.

By means of matching funds, you can show that your social commitment is supported by many and thus has a wide impact.
