Everyone knows these bands: The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Animals, The Searchers, The Kinks. And who’s their German-speaking equivalent? These were The Rattles – they were not only the first German band that created a furor abroad – at the time, they were the only band! Even in the home country of beat music, England, they outshone most domestic beat bands.
This year, The Rattles are celebrating their 50th year on stage – an almost unimaginable time span in contrast to the many short-lived boy and girl groups existing today. On the occasion of their anniversary, The Rattles have decided to share their success with SOS Children’s Villages. They’ll play music that not only arouses enthusiasm, but also supports our work. These are the partnerships that may not be commonplace, but give great pleasure.
